Kamomioya-jinja(Shimogamo-jinja) is shrine in Izumigawacho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto. It is one of Kyoto’s three major festivals with the Kamowakeikazuchi-jinja(Kamigamo-jinja), Aoi Festival is since the Heian period, has been held. The tower gate in front, there is a famous Aioi Shrine as the god of marriage, “Renri-no-Sakaki” of a sacred tree, two trees have been tied to the one from the middle, and of marriage it is also the symbol. Kamomioya-jinja has been a World Heritage Site as part of the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto”.
