Kinkaku-ji is temple of the Rinzai Shokoku-ji Sect in Kita-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto. Kinkaku-ji is a subtemple of Shokoku-ji, Official name is the Rokuon-ji. It is the most popular tourist spot in Kyoto. Kinkaku-ji has been a World Heritage Site as part of the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto”.
